I will dominate 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

Despite those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's biggest financial successes, consistently making substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As the two fighters participated in the usual stare-down, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly happening.
